This Tuesday we’ll tap into our keg of Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout. This is the first time the brewery has exported kegs to the US and we are one of just 200 or so bars in the country to get one. Consider youself lucky if you live on the OBX, and we’d even say this one’s worth driving in for! Brewed in the north of England since 1758, Yorkshire-based Samuel Smith’s is one of the UK’s most sought after producers. While bottles have been available in the US since the 1980s, they had never sent any draft beer across the pond to the ‘colonies’…until now. A select group (about 200) of US bars have been chosen to receive their first shipment of kegs, and we are proud to be among that group! The first export is the classic Oatmeal Stout, a perfect fall quencher, and we’ll be tapping into our keg on Tuesday night for Pint Night.
